The short answer

How do you translate a voice or video call in real time?

Install Loquora, choose both languages, and select the Loquora microphone in your calling app. Then speak normally: Loquora can start translating a long sentence before you finish saying all of it.

The other person does not need to install Loquora. They hear the translated speech inside the same app you are already using. You can read their reply as translated subtitles or hear it aloud, so both sides can follow the conversation.

Loquora is designed for live conversations: calls with friends and family, language practice, online communities, travel planning, and any situation where typing into a text translator breaks the flow.

How it works

Set it up once. Then talk normally.

Use the extension when the call runs in a supported browser tab. For other calling programs, use the computer app and choose the Loquora microphone.

i

Choose your Loquora setup

Add the browser extension or download Loquora for Windows or macOS, then sign in.

ii

Connect it to the call

Open a supported browser call with the extension, or select the Loquora microphone in the calling program on your computer.

iii

Pick languages and speak

Choose the language you speak and the language the other person should hear. Loquora handles the translation as you talk.

Built for conversation

More natural than passing a phone back and forth.

Loquora keeps translation inside the call, so you can focus on the person instead of copying phrases between apps.

Your translated voice

Use the standard voice or create a personal voice on a paid plan so translated speech sounds more like you.

Read or hear the reply

See the other person's words as translated subtitles or let Loquora read the translation aloud without leaving the call.

History off by default

Call history is opt-in. Unless you enable it in settings, Loquora does not save a conversation history to your account.

58 selectable languages

Choose any of the 58 languages yourself, or let Loquora switch automatically among 10 common languages during the call.

One app, many places to talk

Use it across the calls you already make.

The computer app works with calling programs through its virtual microphone. For apps such as WeChat that use the system input, Loquora can route translation through the default microphone.

Voice call translator FAQ

How does a voice and video call translator work?

Choose the Loquora microphone in Zoom, Discord, Telegram, Teams, or another calling app. Loquora listens to your real microphone and sends your translated voice into the call. It can start translating a long sentence before you finish saying all of it.

Which calling apps work with Loquora?

The computer app works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, WeChat and Discord. In most apps you select the Loquora microphone; for WeChat, Loquora uses the system default input. The extension works with supported browser calls such as Google Meet, Teams web and Discord web.

How much delay does voice translation add?

Translation usually starts in under one second. A slow connection, a busy computer, background noise or a difficult phrase can sometimes make it take longer.

Can Loquora translate what the other person says?

Yes. You can read what the other person says as translated subtitles or let Loquora read the translation aloud. Both options are available in the settings.

How many languages does Loquora support?

Loquora supports 58 languages, and you can choose any of them yourself. Automatic language detection can switch among 10 common languages during a call. For some languages, you can also choose a region so Loquora understands local pronunciation better.

Can I try the voice call translator for free?

Yes. The free plan includes full voice translation for about 30 minutes of conversation each month. You can move to a paid plan if you need more time.
