The short answer

What is a real-time voice call translator?

A real-time voice call translator converts speech from one language into another while a conversation is happening. With Loquora, you speak normally, the app recognizes your phrase, translates it, and plays the result into the call through a virtual microphone.

The other person does not need to install Loquora. They hear the translated speech inside the same app you are already using. Incoming speech can appear as translated subtitles, so both sides can follow the conversation.

Loquora is designed for live conversations: calls with friends and family, language practice, online communities, travel planning, and any situation where typing into a text translator breaks the flow.

(I)How it works

Set it up once. Then talk normally.

The desktop app works as an audio layer between your microphone and the calling application.

i

Install the desktop app

Download Loquora for Windows or macOS, sign in, and complete the short setup.

ii

Choose Loquora as your microphone

Open your calling app and select the Loquora virtual microphone in its audio settings.

iii

Pick languages and speak

Choose the language you speak and the language the other person should hear. Loquora handles the translation as you talk.

(II)Built for conversation

More natural than passing a phone back and forth.

Loquora keeps translation inside the call, so you can focus on the person instead of copying phrases between apps.

Your translated voice

Use the standard voice or create a personal voice on a paid plan so translated speech sounds more like you.

Incoming subtitles

Read translated incoming speech while the other person talks, without leaving the call.

History off by default

Call history is opt-in. Unless you enable it in settings, Loquora does not save a conversation history to your account.

32 languages

Switch language pairs between conversations and use automatic language detection for incoming speech.

One app, many places to talk

Use it wherever you can choose a microphone.

The desktop version is not tied to one meeting platform. If an app accepts a microphone input, Loquora can route translated speech into it.

Voice call translator FAQ

Does the other person need to install Loquora?

No. The desktop app sends translated speech through a virtual microphone, so the other person hears it in the calling app they already use.

Which calling apps work with Loquora?

Loquora works with applications that let you select a microphone, including Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, and Discord.

How much delay does voice translation add?

Yes. Incoming speech can be translated into on-screen subtitles. Additional incoming-audio features depend on the selected plan and settings.

How many languages does Loquora support?

Loquora supports 32 languages for real-time calls, including English, Russian, Spanish, German, French, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Turkish, Ukrainian, and others.
