Your first call with Loquora
Before your first conversation, run a short test. It takes about a minute and shows which setting needs attention.
Select the Loquora virtual microphone in the calling app. If you leave your normal microphone selected, the other person will hear your untranslated voice.
What to do

Select your physical microphone in Loquora
Choose the built-in mic, headset, or external device you speak into. The input meter should react to your voice.

Choose both languages
Set the language you speak and the language the translation should use. Pick two different languages for the test.

Configure the calling app
For desktop, select the Loquora virtual mic. For the extension, allow physical mic access and use the panel on the call page.

Start translation
Press start and say a short complete phrase. Wait for the translated text and voice.

Listen from a second device
Join the test call from a phone or use the microphone test recorder in the calling service.
Good to know
- Run the first test before the other person joins.
- Most calling apps remember the selected virtual microphone.
