Can you turn on voice translation in Discord?

Yes. Discord's published voice documentation explains calls, voice channels and input devices, but does not currently describe a built-in live speech translation feature.

Loquora adds voice translation through Discord's input-device setting. Select its virtual microphone in Voice & Video, and translated phrases are delivered into the call or channel. Other participants do not need to install Loquora or add a server bot.

How to translate a Discord voice channel with Loquora

Discord Desktop lets you choose Loquora as the input device under Voice & Video.

    Install Loquora

    Download the Windows or macOS app, create an account, and complete the short audio setup.

    Select the language you speak and the language other Discord members should hear.

How do I turn on voice translation in Discord?

Do I need a Discord translation bot?

No. Loquora runs on your computer as a virtual microphone, so it does not need to join or modify the server.

Does everyone need to install Loquora?

No. Other participants stay in Discord and hear the translated speech as normal microphone audio.

Does it work with Push to Talk?

Discord accepts the Loquora virtual microphone with its normal input modes. Make sure your Push to Talk key remains active long enough for the translated phrase to play.

Can Loquora translate incoming Discord speech?

Yes. Loquora shows incoming translation as subtitles and can speak it aloud in your language, while its virtual microphone handles your outgoing translation.
